Arsene Wenger is set to play a role in deciding whether Cristiano Ronaldo is credited with Portugal’s first goal in their 2-0 win over Uruguay last night.
Ronaldo appeared to glance home Bruno Fernandes’s cross in the second half of Monday night’s clash to give Portugal the lead.
But replays have cast doubt over whether the former Manchester United forward got a touch on Fernandes’s ball into the box into the 64th minute.
And on Tuesday, Sportsmail exclusively revealed that Ronaldo did not get a touch on the ball for Portugal's opener, according to 'highly accurate' data taken from a sensor inside the match ball courtesy of Adidas.
